It is possible. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has the right to check the customer’s information for 2-14 business days. They do not explain the reasons for that.

Such reasons may include:

• you have criminal records
• the client has the same family name as the person who has criminal records
• you lost your passport
• you were sued
• you have a convicted alter-idem (his/her name, date and city of birth are exactly like yours)
• a malfunction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs servers

It happens in about 10-15% of cases because every citizen of Ukraine is at risk. Be ready for this and order a certificate taking into account these 14 days under the question.

The price will be reduced to the cost of the actual period for obtaining the certificate.

The validity period is not indicated in the criminal record certificate. Therefore, it is issued for an unlimited period of time. However, it is different in practice, i.e. the validity of the criminal record certificate is established by the organization that required it. A right decision is to simply ask an employee of the relevant organization.

Unspoken validity period of a criminal record certificate is.

• 30-90 days from the date of issue if you file a certificate in Ukraine.
• 90 days from the date of issue if a certificate is apostilled and you file it in Ukraine.

Only the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine checks for the absence or presence of a criminal record of a citizen of Ukraine and issues a certificate stating the check result!

In case of refusal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to issue a certificate due to outstanding convictions
or lack of a court decision, the cost of the Freedom Translation Agency services is not
reimbursed.
